This is the season for kites. People enjoy flying kites and competitions are also held.  Especially in North India, it is a tradition to fly kites on Makara Sankranti Day.

Diwali Special

Friends here is a Rangoli for Diwali. This is 13x 13 straight dots, then 3 and 1 dots in center , on each of the four sides . You can see the pattern of dots and how I have drawn the Rangoli. 

I have drawn, diyas(lamps), swastika and lotuses, as the theme for Diwali. Hope you like it.

This is 9X9 block. I have coloured the center space with yellow ocher, which can be left uncoloured. If you need a bigger Rangoli you can add blocks of it on all the sides and make it bigger.

Lotuses N Fishes


Friends it has been a long time since I posted Rangolis. Here I am posting a square one 11X11. Very simple and very easy.

Hope you like it.

Watch out for Ugadi and SriRamaNavami specials. Since Chaitra Navaratris start now and worshiping Mata Rani i.e Goddess Durga or Laitha for these 9 days is very good, we can  draw these Lotus or other Rangolis with Sri Chakra.

This is Cakes and Flowers Rangoli. Usher in the New year with chocolate cakes, candles and flowers. For this you have to place 15X15 dots. Join as shown above.

Diwali Special

Here is one more Rangoli for Diwali, Lakshmi Puja or for any Puja:

This is 15X15 dots. It has Swastikas and Diyas(Lamps). It is easy to draw. You can decorate it with colours, glitter powder or simple turmeric and vermilion or flower petals.

NOTE: Draw the Swastika other way(reverse). I have drawn it. I have drawn it wrong. I will try to correct and update it.

Ganesh Chaturthi Special

Here is one more simple Rangoli. This can be used on any Pooja occasion.

This is 8X8 block. You can add more blocks to it to create a bigger Rangoli. This is very simple, easy to draw and requires very little space.

I am posting so many Lotus Designs as the coming month is Sravana and Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped during this month. She likes Lotuses. So if we decorate our houses or yards with these Rangolis, Goddess Lakshmi will bless us with riches and prosperity.

Lotus Rangoli-12-Lotus Square-1

                 Lotus Rangoli

This is 14X14 square of dots -in each row 14 dots, 14 such rows of dots and join as shown above. This Rangolis has Swastika in the center and Lotus on all the corners as well as Lotus buds. So this Rangoli can be drawn for Lakshmi Pooja and on Fridays.

This is a square Rangoli. Rangolis are generally Circular, Square or in Diamond shape. Rangolis of square shape fill in the area completely and are beautiful.
